60 kilometres of striking cliffs, rocky headlands, isolated beaches and quiet lake systems, set against a backdrop of forests, heaths, estuaries and wetlands, make Yuraygir the longest stretch of undeveloped coastline in NSW.
Walk along one of the many tracks, ranging from short and easy to more challenging and longer walks. The unique four day Yuraygir Coastal Walk traverses Yuraygir National Park, adjoining Solitary Islands Marine Park. You can complete the entire route in a single trip, with options for shorter half and single day walks available.
When you take the unique four day Yuraygir Coastal Walk and follow the path of the coastal emu, you are within the traditional homelands of the Gumbaynggirr (in the south) and Yaegl Nations (in the north). Along your journey you will encounter vast heathland plains, long sandy beaches, crystal clear creeks and lagoons, rocky headlands and abundant wildflowers and birdlife. In autumn and winter you can see the humpback whales as they travel north to calve in warm water. In spring they swim south to their Antarctic feeding grounds.
