It’s almost July, and the 52nd Annual Open Arts, Crafts & Quilt Exhibition is upon us! Come celebrate this event with other art enthusiasts from the area and other parts of the country.
As with previous years, this year’s edition of the Arts, Crafts and Quilts exhibition will be organised by The Lower Clarence Arts and Crafts Association.
The event also offers local artists the opportunity to display their art pieces in any of the above-mentioned categories. If you would like to have one (or several for that matter) of your pieces displayed at the event, all you need to do is fill out a form available at the Ferry Park Gallery or download the form from their website. Other than filling out the forms, participants might be required to pay a small fee if they intend to sell their pieces. More details about this are available on the website. The pieces not meant for sale will participate in a competition where winners will take home cash prices.
Art is a form of communication. It can mean whatever the artist herself intends it to mean. This meaning takes shape through the technique and materials used, the form of art as well as the feelings and ideas the piece evokes from the observer. Come out and support local artists while experiencing the feelings that only art can engender.
